The Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek is the short yet the most loved trekking route in Western Nepal. Situated at an elevation of 3,210 meters, it is a transformational trek through the foothills of Annapurna massifs. The trek encompasses the dense rhododendron and oak forests past the Gurung and Magar settlements.
The 11-day-long itinerary for Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek begins with your arrival in Kathmandu. Then you will drive to Pokhara to Nayapul and begin the trekking thereafter. First, you will trek to Tikhedhunga to Ghorepani and ascend to Poon Hill. After observing the beautiful scenario of the Himalayas you will descend to Tadapani to Ghandruk to Nayapul, then drive to Pokhara and finally drive to Kathmandu.
The months of March, April, September, October, and November are the best times for the Poon Hill trek as the weather is too good and provides a clear view of the surroundings.
Today marks your arrival day in Kathmandu, at Tribhuvan International Airport. Upon your arrival at the TIA, a representative from Diverse Adventure will greet you and welcome you to Nepal. Then you will be transferred to a respective hotel, where you will freshen up and attend a short intro meeting. There you will be introduced to your travel guide and discuss the trek.
There will be no specific schedule for this day, which means the second day depends upon you. You can enjoy your second day of the journey on your own with the trek partners.
You may begin the day by visiting the holy sites of Kathmandu. You may visit Pashupatinath Temple, the most popular pilgrimage site for Hindus. Or, you may also visit Swoyambhunath (also known as the Monkey Temple) located at the top of the hill of Swoyambhu. These pilgrimage sites will provide you with some sort of satisfaction.
When you are done with the pilgrimage sites, you may visit Basantapur Durbar Square area and the museum there. With this, you will get an opportunity to explore the history, culture, and traditions of the people in Kathmandu.

Today you will leave Kathmandu early in the morning and drive to Pokhara. Depending on the road traffic, you will reach Pokhara within 6 to 8 hours. During the drive, you will sightsee the greenery, diverse landscapes, the flow of the Trishuli River, Malekhu Bazar, and the mountain ranges.
The bus will drop you at the hotel. You can now check in to the hotel, and take a rest/shower to freshen up. Pokhara is known as 'the city of lights', so you can observe the evening beauty of Pokhara by visiting the lakeside where the streets are full of lights and evening markets.

oday is the first ever trek of the journey. Nayapul is the starting point of the trek. First, you will drive to Nayapul from Pokhara. From Nayapul you will ascend to Tikhedhunga (1,520m), passing through Sudame and Hile. Tikhedhunga is a small village situated on the way to Ghorepani. As it is the last destination for the day, you will stay here overnight.

On the fifth day, you will leave Tikhedhunga in the early morning for Ghorepani, a charming Gurung village in the lap of the Himalayas. Ascending through the stone-paved path of Ulleri, rhododendron and oak forests, and crossing several small streams with great vistas of the Himalayas by your side, you will reach Ghorepani within 6 to 7 hours. It is the most popular stopover for the Poon Hill trek.

Today is the most awaited and exciting day of your adventurous trek as you ascend to the highest point of the trek. It takes around 45 minutes of steep ascend to reach the highest point of Poon Hill from Ghorepani.
As the main motto of the trek is to witness the stunning view of sunrise from Poon Hill, you will leave Ghorepani and Hike up to Poon Hill before the sun rises. Observe the sunrise from the top of the Hill, spend some time enjoying the amazing vistas of the Himalayas, and then trek to Tadapani. Overnight stay.

In comparison to other days of the trek, today is a shorter trek as you will only walk for 3 to 4 hours from Tadapani to Ghandruk,
Ghandruk is a small Gurung village that welcomes tourists with warm greetings and hospitality. As it is a short trek today, you will have plenty of time to observe the beauty of Ghandruk and explore the food, dress, culture, and traditions of Gurungs. You may also do a short photo shoot in Gurung attire here to capture the joyful lifetime moment you lived here.

This is the last trek of this adventurous journey. Today, you will climb down to Nayapul (1070m) from Ghandruk. After 5 to 6 hours of trek, you will reach Nayapul. Then you will catch our bus there and drive to Pokhara. It will take around 1 hour 30 minutes to reach Pokhara from Nayapul. Stay overnight in Pokhara.
The ninth day of the journey is a rest day in Pokhara. Today you will neither fly nor drive nor hike. Instead, you will just enjoy the city of lights. Without any sort of rush, you will roam around Pokhara today.
First, if you still want to enjoy the view of sunrise, Sarangkot is the best viewpoint in Pokhara. Besides, there are several must-visit places in Pokhara including Fewa Lake, Tal-Barahi Temple, Shanti Stupa (Peace Pagoda), Gupteshwor Cave, Chamero Gufa (Bat Cave), and Begnas Lake. After exploring Pokhara the whole day, you can enjoy the nightlife here in the clubs and bars (including Trisara, Busy Bee, Irish Pub, and so on), chill out with friends, and enjoy the live music in the streets of Pokhara.
This is the second last day of the 11-day-long journey. Today you will drive back to Kathmandu from Pokhara. Similar to the previous time span, it will take 7 to 8 hours to reach Kathmandu from Pokhara and then stay overnight in a hotel here.
